The device (100) has a power reserve display unit (20) and a complementary display unit (30) that are integrated in an oscillating weight (1) of an automatic rewinding movement. The display unit and the complementary display unit are movable in synchronous rotation with respect to the oscillating weight, at given instant. A pointer stop (16) is integrated with the complementary display unit. A differential display mechanism comprises a ball bearing whose inner cage carries the oscillating weight using a screw. An independent claim is also included for an automatic rewinding watch comprising an oscillating weight.
