A slitting blade 30 comprises front and back faces 35, 36 and a cutting region with a distal edge 33, a first angled cutting surface 34 offset relative to a second angled cutting surface 38 and an undercut surface 37, the first angled cutting surface 34 ending at the distal edge 33, the undercut surface 37 extending between the second angled cutting surface 38 and the distal edge 33. The slitting blade 30 may be a circular rotating blade cooperating with female slitting means 31 such as a female knife shaft to form a web slitter. The undercut surface 37 may be substantially flat to cooperate with the female slitting means 31, the first angled cutting surface 34 may be angled between 15° and 75° to the radial axis of the blade 30 and the second angled cutting surface 38 may be angled between 5° and 90° to the radial axis of the blade 30. The blade 30 may help to avoid the build up of adhesive (20 fig 2(c)) on the blade when slitting pressure sensitive adhesive paper.
