PURPOSE: An image processing system and operating method for security system are provided to improve reliability of a system according to a recognition rate improvement by operating an image processing system as an optimized state. CONSTITUTION: A universal camera(10) photographs a target point by being installed on a specific point for photographing an accident generating situation. An original image extraction unit(20) extracts an original image photographed to the universal camera when accident occurs as a stream type. An image processing unit(30) distinguishes an image of an image extracted by the original extraction unit with a target object and a neighboring object. The image processing unit processes these information as a data form which is can be processed by recognizing the target object and a neighboring object. A micro computer(40) recognizes a target object by a data transmitted through the image processing unit. The micro computer controls each configuration by generating and outputting data for checking and tracing the target object. A data server(50) distinguishes a target object and neighboring object in the image processing unit and previously stores data for recognizing the objects. The image processing unit provides the previously stored data through the micro computer when distinguishing and recognizing the target object and the neighboring object. A camera(60) photographs data by receiving the data generated by the micro computer and continuously tracing the focus to the target object.
