A pyridylamide compound of Formula (I):wherein Ris -Calkyl or saturated monocyclic cycloalkyl; m is 1 or 2; X is N or CH; Y is N or CR; Ris -H, -Z-Ar, -CHNRR, -CN, -COCalkyl, -COH, or -CONRR; where Rand Rare each independently -H or -Calkyl; and Ris -H or -Z-Ar; with the proviso that one of X and Y is N and one of Rand Ris -Z-Ar; where Z is O or S; and Ar is a phenyl or monocyclic heteroaryl group unsubstituted or substituted with one, two, or three Rsubstituents; where each Rsubstituent is independently selected from the group consisting of: halo, -Calkyl, -OH, -OCalkyl, -SCalkyl, -CN, -CONRR, and -NO; where Rand Rare each independently -H or -Calkyl; are histamine Hreceptor modulators useful in the treatment of histamine Hreceptor-mediated diseases.
