AMPHIPHILIC PHA-MPEG COPOLYMERIC NANOCONTAINERS FOR DRUG DELIVERY

PURPOSE: An amphiphilic PHA-mPEG copolymer nano container is provided to safely deliver drug without serious toxicity. CONSTITUTION: A PHA(Polyhydroxyalkanoate)-mPEG(monomethoxy polyethylene glycol)diblock copolymer is used for drug delivery. PHA is poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate)P(3HB-co-3HV) or poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyate)P(3HB-co-4HB). The content of 3HV unit and 4HB unit of P(3HB-co-3HV) is 12-33 mole% and 6-20 mole%, respectively. An amphiphilic nano container for drug delivery is formed of PHA-mPEG diblock copolymers and comprises PHA cores and mPEG shell structure.
