PURPOSE: A yard tractor having a noncontact power supply system and a control method thereof are provided to reduce maintenance costs in comparison with a conventional hybrid yard tractor by using a contactless power transmission method. CONSTITUTION: In a yard tractor having a noncontact power supply system and a control method thereof, a yard tracker(100) is combined with a yard chassis or a yard trailer(220). A container(210) is loaded in the yard chassis or the yard trailer. A feeding unit(120) is installed in a work space. A current collecting part(110) is installed in the yard tracker. The feeding unit comprises a feed line or power transmission line, a feed core, and a feed coil. The current collecting part is formed in the bottom frame of the yard tracker. The current collecting part comprises a pick-up unit(113) and driving unit for the current collector.
