PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a tie rod for a brake booster with large and small stepped parts is provided to manufacture a tie rod without the need of a forging mold and the risk of deviation by transferring a rod body, in which a large stepped part is formed, and forming a small stepped part on the rod body. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a tie rod for a brake booster with large and small stepped parts is as follows. A rod-shaped material is put into a forming machine and forged first to form a first preform part with an extended diameter on a side of the material. The material is forged secondly to form a second preform part with more extended diameter. A second screw part(16) is formed on the is formed on an end of the material. The material is forged thirdly to form a third preform part and a first screw part(14). A stepped part(13) is formed on a side of the second screw part. The material is forged fourthly to form a large stepped part(11) and serration. |
