Forehead support for a facial mask

A respiratory mask includes a mask frame 1145, a forehead support 1150 extending from the mask frame and including a forehead member 1160, headgear including a strap 1170 to be connected to the forehead member, and a flexible beam 1190 on the forehead member. The forehead member includes openings 1162 through which the strap can be looped so that a portion of the strap lies between the forehead member and the forehead of the wearer. The flexible beam is of different material to the strap so as to establish, at least in part, the load distribution applied by the strap to the forehead of the user. One or more layers of the strap are arranged to lie between the flexible beam and the forehead of the wearer to provide padding between and preventing contact between the beam and the forehead of the wearer in use.
