Disclosed is an isolated antibody capable of binding to human NOGO-A and comprising specific heavy and light chain variable regions as disclosed in the specification. The antibody is used in the preparation of a medicament for treatment of stroke, other neurological diseases/disorders or for the treatment of a patient suffering from a mechanical trauma to the central or peripheral nervous system.
