The utensil has a handle (1) prolonged above a gripping zone (2) by a functional element (3) i.e. blade, and a support zone (4) for supporting an end of an index finger of a user when the handle is held by other fingers according to traditional gripping of the handle in a manner to cut when a thumb is located at a side of the functional element. The support zone is parallel with a longitudinal direction (X) of the handle. A 150 mm square surface of the support zone extends in longitudinal direction of the handle and in transversal direction (Y) over a width of 10 mm.
