HISTONE DEACETYLASE INHIBITOR THAT REACTIVATES HIV-1 PROVIRUSES FROM LATENTLY HIV-INFECTED CELLS

PURPOSE: A histone diacetylase(HDAC) inhibitor and a method for reactivating HIV-1 provirus are provided to ensure low cytotoxicity and high stability. CONSTITUTION: A histone diacetylase inhibitor of chemical formula 1 reactivates HIV-1 provirus from latent HIV infected cells. In chemical formula 1, R1 is independently C1-3 alkyl, hydroxy C1-2 alkyl, halo C1-2 alkyl, piperidinyl, morpholinyl, cyanomethyl, piperazinyl, di C1-2 alkylamino C1-2 alkyl, di C1-2 alkylamino C1-2 alkyl, piperidinyl C1-2 alkyl, morpholino C1-2 alkyl, or piperazino C1-2 alkyl; and R2 is hydrogen or methyl. The latent HIV infected cell is ACH2 cell or J1.1.
