Lining of cylindrical tank with mostly rectangular pieces

A tight and thermally insulated tank has a sealing barrier and a thermally insulating barrier both of which are cylindrical in shape with a vertical wall and a bottom wall. Each vertical wall is made up of a plurality of vertical faces and each bottom wall has a plurality of rectangular pieces 10 distributed in sectors which are rotated images of each other, each sector including a plurality of the adjacent rectangular pieces. The bottom wall has the shape of a regular polygon each side 4 of which corresponds to one of the sectors and one of the vertical faces, with the edges of the rectangular pieces of one sector being respectively perpendicular and parallel to the side of the polygon correspond to the sector. To make up the bottom wall only one other type of piece, being the diamond shaped piece 9, is required to be combined with the rectangular pieces 10.
