Disclosed is a cleaning device comprising an electrolysis generator having an electrical control unit and electrodes for using cold or warm water for generating electrolyzed water with oxidative radicals, wherein the electrodes of the electrolysis generator comprise at least one diamond electrode, and a high-pressure cleaning appliance is arranged to which the electrolyzed water can be fed. Also disclosed is a method for the chemical- and residue-free cleaning, sanitation, disinfection and odour neutralization of surfaces, materials and objects by using the above device.
