<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible menu system to a user who operates an electronic menu relating to optical storage media. <P>SOLUTION: The menu may contain buttons (INV1 to INV4) that can be selected through keys on remote control, but that do not have any images or an associated text. This allows creating "invisible buttons" that can automatically execute a command according to selection. Furthermore, a sound or a sound sequence, e.g. a melody or a click may be associated with a predetermined button state, and may be reproduced when the button enters this state.
