PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic fluid rerefining apparatus capable of removing water with a simple constitution and to provide a hydraulic fluid rerefining method. SOLUTION: In the hydraulic fluid rerefining apparatus X, an oil circulating path W and a pump P for circulating hydraulic fluid are provided, and an acid removing part 4 removing an acid contained in the hydraulic fluid by an ion exchange resin 4a, a water removing part 5 removing water contained in the hydraulic fluid by a water absorbing means 5a containing zeolite as a main component and a filtering part 3 filtering the hydraulic fluid by a filtering means are provided. The hydraulic fluid rerefining method includes a filtering step for filtering the hydraulic fluid, an acid removing step for removing the acid by bringing the hydraulic fluid into contact with the ion exchange resin 4a, and a water removing step for removing water by bringing the hydraulic fluid into contact with the water absorbing means 5a containing zeolite as a main component.
