PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light weight and high performance power generation thermoelectric converter that efficiently converts heat energy into electric energy, and a thermoelectric conversion method thereof. SOLUTION: A thermoelectric converter 1 includes a thermoelectric conversion module 10 with a built-in thermoelectric element that converts heat energy into electric energy by using a temperature difference between a high temperature side surface portion 15 and a low temperature side surface portion 16 in a module case 11 enclosed with the high temperature side surface portion 15, the low temperature side surface portion 16, and a side surface portion 17, a high temperature side fluid channel portion 20 disposed on a side of the high temperature side surface portion 15 of the thermoelectric conversion module 10, and a low temperature side fluid channel portion 30 disposed on a side of the low temperature side surface portion 16 of the thermoelectric conversion module 10. In the thermoelectric converter 1, the high temperature side fluid channel portion 20 is formed by connecting the high temperature side surface portion 15 of each thermoelectric conversion module 10 and a high temperature side fluid channel forming portion 25 that connects the adjacent thermoelectric conversion modules 10 by using two or more thermoelectric conversion modules 10.
