PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously monitor a load applied to a main rope of an elevator. SOLUTION: A sensor device 2 is installed by separating by a dimension L3(≥L1+L2) of becoming an adding value or more of adding up a dimension L1 by which a measured value is not substantially influenced by an installation position and a rope shortening dimension L2 of maintenance work, from one end for fixing the rope end in a socket 4 to a mainrope 1.
