PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error display device of a machine tool which knows an error of an operation of an actual machine tool with respect to an operation of an ideal machine tool by NC data when a machine tool with a straight shaft and a rotary shaft is targeted. SOLUTION: Shaft position measurement data of a machine coordinate system regarding the straight shaft and the rotary shaft when the straight shaft and the rotational shaft of the machine tool 1 are operated based on the NC data is obtained. Coordinate transformation is performed based on the shaft position measurement data and machine information of the machine coordinate system of the straight shaft and the rotational shaft to calculate a measurement processing point moving locus of a tool in a work coordinate system. A reference processing point moving locus of the tool in the work coordinate system is displayed on a display screen based on the NC data, and the measurement processing point moving locus is overlapped on the reference processing point moving locus to be displayed on the display screen, and an error of the measurement processing point moving locus to the reference processing point moving locus is displayed on the display screen.
