PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable hairstyling tool, which is of a size convenient to carry and is capable of styling the hair using heat. SOLUTION: The portable folding type hairstyling tool includes a casing unit which also serves as a handle, and a hairstyling unit which is inserted into or unfolded from the casing unit to be used through pivoting. The hairstyling unit includes an electric heating part for applying heat to the hair, and the casing unit includes a power source. The hairstyling unit has a rotary switch around a hinge part, thus allowing power to be supplied to the electric heating part by a power source only when the hairstyling unit is unfolded from the casing unit.
