PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to adjust relatively precisely by a simple operation, a tomographic image that is produced at a middle angle or position between longitudinal and lateral axial areas of the image, when an ultrasonic diagnostic scanner images a human heart or the like. SOLUTION: A mark is provided on the grip of an ultrasonic probe that operates an ultrasonic wave transmission and reception surface composed of a plurality of arranged transducers. The mark indicates the position of angles prescribed in the longitudinal direction of the ultrasonic wave transmission/reception surface.
