PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new wind-resistant and pressure-resistant structure of an umbrella which corresponds to wind or pressure from any directions inside and outside, can be manufactured by comparatively simple methods, and to provide an umbrella which softens the shock at the time of opening/closing the umbrella and can be used more safely even by elder people or children. SOLUTION: The handle or the base of the umbrella is hollow, a flange part or a projection is prepared on an axis inserted in the hollow part, the flange part or the projection is prepared on the hollow part, above and below the flange part or the projection of the axis, and an elastic body is prepared inside the hollow part, above and below the flange part or the projection of the axis.
