PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an A-pillar garnish mounting device in which the width of an A-pillar garnish is reduced. SOLUTION: The A-pillar garnish 30 is mounted to an A-pillar 11 by a tether clip 20. The A-pillar garnish 30 includes a seat portion 32. The seat portion 32 includes a top wall 33, opposed side walls 34 provided approximately in parallel, and a housing space 38 for the tether clip 20. The opposed side walls 34 of the seat portion 32 includes a curved portion 60 projecting into the housing space 38 and narrowing the distance of the opposed side walls 34 at the intermediate portion in the direction where the top wall 33 and the garnish body are connected. The outer surface of the curved portion is a recessed portion 63. Since a part of an CSA 13 penetrates in the recessed portion 63, the width of the A-pillar garnish 30 is reduced. The curved portion 60 has one or more ribs 64 projecting into the housing space 38. When the CSA is deployed, the ribs 64 are brought into contact with an anchor portion 24 of the tether clip and the energy is absorbed. Thus, fracture of the tether clip 20 is suppressed.
