<p>Disclosed is a steering controller wherein a road surface reaction torque calculation unit (52) uses the vehicle speed, steering angle and vehicle model to calculate the torque due to caster trail, the self-aligning torque and the road surface reaction torque. A reaction force command current calculation unit (53) uses the road surface reaction torque and the vehicle speed to calculate the reaction force command current.</p>
