The method involves coupling the real network (1) with the virtual network (2) by a data transmission path (6), and identifying all real network components (3.1,3.2,3.3) and memory unit associated in the switch. The message throughput of the real and virtual network components is analyzed in a time-period. The generation of data transmission between the real network and the virtual network is identified for simulation of the real network components or the identified, virtual network components (9.1,9.2,9.3).
