DOME CAMERA DEVICE, FOCUS ADJUSTMENT SUPPORT METHOD AND PROGRAMME

A dome camera device (1) is provided with: an AF value calculation unit (14) which calculates an AF value from an image taken with a dome cover (3) removed; a shift amount acquisition unit (19) which reads out a shift amount from a memory (15) wherein a shift amount for a focus position when the dome cover (3) is attached is stored; and a target focus position determination unit (20) which determines a target focus position on the basis of the AF value and the shift amount. When a user manually adjusts the focus when the dome cover (3) is removed, the target focus position is communicated to the user, supporting focus adjustment. The target focus position is an incorrect focus position when the dome cover (3) is removed and a correct focus position when the dome cover (3) is attached. Thus, it is possible to implement appropriate focus adjustment that takes account of the lens effect of a dome cover, even with only manual focus adjustment, and without using an automatic focus correction system.
