<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for a GUI display, based on image component information such as vector images. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes: preferentially selecting image components with high probabilities of being used in the generation of either of the menu screens that could be displayed next time while each menu screen is displayed; enabling a rasterizing unit (136) to generate bitmap images (BMG) of the image components selected; and storing the bitmap images (BMG) generated in a bitmap image storage unit (137).
