<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust bias members for pressing a thermal printhead when using paper different in paper width in a thermal printer. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal printer 100 in which thermal papers 200 (paper) of two kinds of paper widths W1 and W2 are usable, four springs 19a, 19b, 19c and 19d (bias members) to press the thermal printhead 41 onto a platen roller 21 are provided along a width direction of the thermal printhead 41, wherein the number of the springs 19a, 19b, 19c and 19d, that is four, is a value obtained by dividing a maximum paper width W1 by the almost highest common factor M between the two kinds of paper widths W1 and W2, and the springs 19a, 19b, 19c and 19d are arranged at an equal interval L1 which is equal to the almost highest common factor M. Among the four springs 19a, 19b, 19c and 19d, the spring 19d disposed outside a range of the width of the thermal paper 200 in use is configured to be attachable and detachable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
