PURPOSE: An apparatus for transmitting video content compressed by a codec is provided to embody the operation of a program using a readable recording media. CONSTITUTION: A codec selection request frame for a video content compressing codec is transmitted to a second device(110). A codec selection response frame including approval information is received from the second device(120). The video content which is compressed by the codec is transmitted to a second device based on the codec selection response frame(130).
