PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control deterioration of the pattern precision due to lowering of the temperature of a functional liquid in cases where a pattern is formed intensively in a short time. SOLUTION: A droplet discharging method for discharging a liquid material 49 containing a functional material, as droplets 50, onto a medium 61 from a droplet discharging head 47 based on discharge data has a heating process of heating the droplet discharging head 47 and/or at least a part of a supply passage 29 for the liquid material 49 to the droplet discharging head 47 to a predetermined temperature by means of an electric heat conversion element 54 and a droplet discharging process of discharging the droplets 50 onto the medium 61.
