PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof housing including a breathing filter for eliminating degradation of filter performance and degradation of waterproofness, in a waterproof housing with an electronic substrate sealed and housed therein. SOLUTION: A ventilation hole 20 is formed on a cover 18 of a waterproof housing 100 with an electronic substrate 15 housed therein, and a breathing filter 10 formed with a double-sided adhesive seal material 11 and a filter body 12 is arranged from the outer surface of the cover 18. Tapered ventilation grooves 23a, 23b communicating with the breathing filter 10 and provided with inclinations are formed on the cover 18, and the breathing filter 10 and the tapered ventilation grooves 23a, 23b are closed by a shield plate 24 excluding tip openings of the tapered ventilation grooves 23a, 23b.
