PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knife with improved convenience allowing a user to start the cutting work without changing the hand holding the knife. SOLUTION: The knife 10 for electric work includes a grip 11 to be held by hand of a worker, and a blade 12 projecting from the grip to cut the coating of an electric wire. The coating of the electric wire can be cut with a body blade 13 from a toe 13a at the tip to a heel 13b on the grip side. The knife has a scale 14 displaying the distance from the toe marked on a back 12a side of the blade parallel to the direction of extension of the body blade, and has an orthogonally crossing blade 15, extending in the direction of separating from the back, on the heel side.
