PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener, configured so that a nut can be rotated to a fixing position where it is not dropped out of an opening of a structure by inserting a base portion to which the nut is temporarily fixed through the opening and then screwing a male screw part inserted through the opening to the nut. SOLUTION: The nut 90 is formed to have a short side length smaller than the width of the opening and a long side length larger than the width of the opening, and is inserted, at an attachment position where its short side is matched to a short side of the base portion 80, into a hollow portion within the structure (e.g., C-shaped steel). The nut 90 reaches the fixing position where it is not dropped out of the opening by screwing the male screw part (e.g., bolt) inserted through the opening, and rotating the screw part within the hollow part, and is fixed inside the hollow part through the male screw part (e.g., bolt).
