<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal-oriented ceramic composed of a polycrystal body of a perovskite type compound containing at least Ca and Ti, oriented at a high degree of orientation in the pseudo-cubic (100) plane, having high relative density and capable of controlling the composition relatively easily, to provide its manufacturing method, to provide the anisotropic-shaped powder used for the ceramic and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The anisotropically shaped powder contains a second perovskite type compound containing at least Ca and Ti as a main phase, its developed surface is composed of the pseudo-cubic (100) plane, and also an aspect ratio (w<SB>a</SB>/t<SB>a</SB>) of the maximum length (w<SB>a</SB>) of the developed surface to a thickness (t<SB>a</SB>) is two or more.
