<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell of superior appearance and sufficiently high efficiency of conversion. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell includes a photoelectric conversion unit 30 and a protective layer 9 provided on the photoelectric conversion unit 30. The protective layer 9 contains resin and beads which are arranged in the resin and have refractive index different from the resin and whose average particle size is 2-15μm.
