PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture, or assemble a rotating electric machine while achieving reduction in vibration or noise of the rotating electric machine. SOLUTION: The rotating electric machine 1 has: a bottomed cylindrical case 10 for housing a rotor 61 and a stator 62; a lid 11 for closing an opening of the case 10 and allowing an output shaft of the rotor 61 to penetrate; and a flange member 12 having a case insertion hole 12a capable of inserting the case 10, and having an attaching part 12b attachable to the outer circumference of the case 10 and used to attach the rotating electric machine 1 to an attaching object.
