PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manage updating processing in a thin client at a low cost. SOLUTION: A system 10 for rewriting a thin client master includes a thin client 100 having a request transmitting part which transmits an information request to an inquiry handling server 400, an updating startup part which receives the address of an updating server to execute rebooting, and a restoration processing part which executes a backup program to transmit an updating request to the address of the updating server and receives a disk image to execute restoration, the inquiry handling server 400 having an address notification part which refers to a list of addresses for the address of the thin client to identify the address of the updating server and sends a reply to the thin client 100, and the updating server 200 having a master transmitting part which extracts a disk image on the basis of a device ID included in the updating request to transmit it to the thin client 100.
