PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet bowl washing device which is constituted so that an appropriate washing mode (large washing or small washing) can be realized in accordance with the condition of the toilet bowl when the washing switch of a remote control has been operated. SOLUTION: A seating sensor 7 which detects the seating on a toilet seat 3, a human-body detecting sensor 8 which detects a human body which has approached a Western-style toilet bowl 1, a toilet bowl washing valve 11, and a signal light receiver 10 are provided to the toilet bowl washing device. When either the large washing switch 21 or the small washing switch 22 of the remote control 20 has been operated, and a washing signal has been inputted to a control device through the medium of the receiver 10, it is determined whether the toilet seat 3 is in an opened state or a closed state. When the toilet seat 3 is in an opened state, the control device regards it as the washing after the use by a man for urine, and performs small washing.
