Disclosed is: a novel component which has a neuropathic pain alleviating effect and can be used effectively for preparing a novel neuropathic pain alleviating agent. Specifically disclosed is a neuropathic pain alleviating agent comprising, as an active ingredient, at least one ascorbic acid derivative selected from L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphate esters each represented by chemical formula (1) wherein an phosphate ester moiety has an alkyl group as a branch, and organic acids and inorganic acids of the esters. (In the formula, R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom (H) or a C4-30 alkyl group having a branch at position-2, wherein a case where both of R1 and R2 represent an hydrogen atom (H) simultaneously is excluded.) |
