The furniture plate has a plate shaped base, an edge band (14), which is attached at a plate edge of the base and a decoration layer (10) provided on a front side of the base. The decoration layer is extended at an edge of a front side by a joint that is formed between the base body and the edge band. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a furniture plate.
