<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new production method producible of an olefin oxide by oxidizing an olefin by using a copper-containing oxide (copper oxide) such as copper oxide while suppressing the formation of an aldehyde compound as a by-product. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an olefin oxide production method comprising a step of feeding an olefin, oxygen, and water into a reaction apparatus containing a copper oxide to oxidize the olefin in the reaction apparatus, wherein the total amount of water fed is at least 1.0 molar time of the total amount of the olefin fed.
