<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability on sealing performance in a flow channel with respect to a fuel cell in which a plurality of single cells are disposed on within the same plane. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises: a plurality of power generation sections respectively formed by laminating single cells, each having an electrolyte layer and a pair of separators, and disposed in parallel so that the laminating directions of the single cells are in parallel with one another; and manifold-forming sections respectively disposed at positions surrounding a plurality of power generating sections and respectively formed of an insulating rubber or a synthetic resin with through-holes formed therein to serve as manifolds for supplying and exhausting gas or coolant. The power generating section includes, in the outer peripheral portion of a separator, a sealing section that is integrally formed with the manifold-forming section by way of the insulating rubber or the synthetic resin to secure sealability in the gas flow channel or coolant flow channel. The through-holes formed between neighboring power generation sections out of the plurality of power generating sections supply or discharge gas or coolant to or from both the neighboring power generation sections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
