<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator for vehicles wherein control over a MOS transistor can be stabilized when a rectifier is configured using the MOS transistor. <P>SOLUTION: The generator 1 for vehicles includes a field winding 4 for magnetizing the field poles of a rotor, a stator having stator windings 2, 3, multiple rectifier modules 5X and so on, and a generation controller 7 that connects and disconnects a MOS transistor 201 connected in series with the field winding 4 through a field (F) terminal to control an exciting current passing through the field winding 4 and thereby controls the output voltage of the rectifier modules 5X and so on. The rectifier modules 5X and so on include MOS transistors 50, 51 that rectify the output of an output terminal and a control circuit 54 that sets the on/off timing of the MOS transistors.
