PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for electrostatic latent image development in which a coating layer is less apt to peel off. SOLUTION: The carrier for electrostatic latent image development includes a core material and a coating layer coating the core material and containing a resin where the resin has a hardness of not more than 100 N/mm2and a return rate of not less than 60%.
