PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform filtering, complement, and feature extraction of edge data by a simple calculation. SOLUTION: Calculation windows are set for the respective points of the edge data, a matrix B showing a basis function of Nc-order function approximating an edge expressed by the edge data, and a matrix M which is expressed by a weighting matrix W to the edge data in the calculation windows and expressed by the same number of lines as the number of orders of the Nc-order function and the same number of columns as the number of points in the windows are set. Each of inner products between elements of each line of the matrix M and the edge data expressed by columns in the calculation windows is calculated for each point of the edge data, the inner product between the first line of the matrix M and the edge data expressed by the column in the window is output as edge data after filtered, and the inner product between the (n+1)th line of the matrix M and the edge data expressed by the column in the window is output as n-th differential of the edge data after filtered.
