PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that reduces temporal changes in color and density of a copy image to be output. SOLUTION: The image processing device 11 has: a color scanner 12 that reads a document to generate a signal based on the read value; a color-difference determining part 97 that reads a test pattern 101 formed so that a value of a signal generated by the color scanner 12 matches a reference scanner value, by the color scanner 12 so as to compare the difference between the signal and the reference scanner value with a threshold, and calculates a correction matrix M1 on the basis of the signal generated by reading the test pattern 101 when the difference is greater than or equal to the threshold; a color correction control part 98 for correcting the signal generated by reading the document, while using the calculated correction matrix M1 when the difference is greater than or equal to the threshold; and a color printer 13 for forming a copy image on the basis of the signal generated by reading the document or the signal corrected by the color correction control part 98.
