PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device having double driving, for forming an interpolated image frame on the basis of the motion vector of an original image frame, capable of making motion blurring and flickers inconspicuous, as an image as a whole. SOLUTION: A specified element image having the size of a predetermined range in which the motion vector is set beforehand, among a plurality of element images, is detected (S12). Only a specified light-emitting device corresponding to a divided area to which an edge section or a neighborhood area, including the edge section of each specified element image among plurality of light-emitting devices belongs to, is turned on bright or dark so that the light emission luminance, when the interpolated image frame is displayed, can become lower than that when the original image frame is displayed (S23).
