PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus capable of easily switching coatings by a knife coater and a roll coater. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus includes a knife edge 36 disposed above a body 12 of the coating apparatus 10, an air cylinder 38 that elevates the knife edge 36, a base 20 disposed laterally of the body 12, a roll coating section 26 disposed movably on the base 20, and a coating roll 32 and a reverse roll 34 provided at the roll coating section 26, thereby enabling carrying out coatings by the knife coater and roll coater.
