PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zinc primer-coated corrosion resistant steel material which has excellent corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The zinc primer-coated corrosion resistant steel material having excellent corrosion resistance is obtained by forming a zinc primer coating film containing 5 to 30 g/m<SP>2</SP>Zn in terms of coating weight and 0.003 to 3 g/m<SP>2</SP>P in terms of coating weight on the surface of a steel material containing, by mass, 0.01-0.25% C, 0.05-0.50% Si, 0.1-2.0% Mn,≤0.035% P,≤0.01% S,≤0.10% Al, 0.005-0.030% Ti and 0.0010-0.0070% N, further containing one or two selected from 0.01-0.5% W and 0.02-0.5% Mo, further containing one or two selected from 0.001-0.2% Sn and 0.01-0.2% Sb, and containing Cu, Ni, Cr and Co each of which the mixing amount is controlled to <0.20%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
