PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication device and image processor, which allow normal transmission of data even if a desired link configuration is not made, in data communication using PCI-Express (R). SOLUTION: The data communication device for performing data communication by using the PCI-Express (R) has: a comparison and calculation means for comparing a link configuration actually configured in the PCI-Express (R) with a link configuration required for data transfer during data transfer and calculating a link configuration ratio representing a ratio of the actually configured link configuration to the required link configuration, based on a result of the comparison; and a recovery means for performing recovery processing for adjusting data to an amount of data matching the actually configured link configuration, based on the link configuration ratio, a main scanning width of data, and an EOL (End Of Line).
