<p>Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device in which flickering attributable to 3D image crosstalk (image ghosting) and the reflection of external light is reduced. The liquid crystal display device is provided with a pair of substrates that are disposed facing each other with an electrode on at least one substrate, a liquid crystal layer between said pair of substrates, and a first polarizing plate, which is disposed on the light source side, and a second polarizing plate, which is disposed on the viewing side, that sandwich said liquid crystal layer, wherein a protective film on the viewing side of the second polarizing plate is provided with a transparent support that fulfills 0?|Re(550)|?10 and an optically anisotropic layer with a ?/4 function, and the Rth of the protective film on the viewing side of the second polarizing plate is |Rth|?20.</p> |
